These terms apply when you ask AITaskBox to do work for you. "AITaskBox", "we" and "us" means Orris Technology Pty Ltd, ABN 64 661 497 105, trading as AITaskBox. "You" means the business owner or business that places an order.
We wrote these terms in plain language. Nothing in them takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. How it works
- You tell us what you need, usually by chatting with us in the app. Chatting is free within a monthly allowance shown in the app; the allowance covers text only.
- We send you a quote. It sets out what we will make, how much of it, which parts AI does and which parts a person checks, what you need to provide, and the price of each part. We may offer two or three options (for example basic, standard and express). A quote is valid for 7 days.
- You choose an option and pay. We start the work after payment. (For work arranged directly with our team, we may send a brief instead of a quote; it works the same way.)
- We deliver the work for you to review. Each job includes two rounds of changes. Changes must stay within the accepted quote; anything new is a new quote.
- If we cannot deliver what your accepted quote describes, we refund that job in full (see section 8).
2. Prices and payment
- Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. The price on the quote (or brief) you accept is the price you pay; we will not add charges you have not agreed to.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.
- We issue a tax invoice for every payment.
- We may change our quoting rates for future quotes. A change never affects a quote you have already accepted, or a monthly plan's current billing period.
3. Monthly plans
Some services (for example "We draft your replies" and the content plan) are billed monthly in advance.
- You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have paid for; we do not charge further months.
- If we change a monthly plan's price or what it includes, we will tell you at least 30 days before the change, and you can cancel before it applies.
- "We draft your replies": we prepare drafts; nothing is sent to your customers unless you approve it. Each plan includes the number of messages and human hand-offs shown on your brief; we will tell you before anything beyond that is charged.
4. What you provide
You agree to:
- give us accurate information about your business, products and prices, and tell us when they change;
- supply the materials listed on the brief (for example, footage you film yourself) by the dates on the brief. If materials arrive late, the delivery date moves by the same time;
- only send us materials you have the right to use, including permission from people who appear in your photos and videos, and the right to share your customers' messages with us for the purpose of drafting replies;
- not ask us to make anything that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, or that breaks a platform's rules.
5. Your responsibility for what you publish
We check every piece against the brief, your business profile and our quality checklist. However, you know your business and your industry rules best:
- review the final version before you publish or send it, especially prices, addresses, dates and claims about results;
- you are responsible for the decision to publish, and for meeting rules that apply to your industry and to the platforms you post on (for example, real-estate advertising rules or financial claims).
If we make a mistake that does not match the facts you gave us or the confirmed brief, tell us and we will fix it at no cost (see section 8).
6. AI-assisted work
Parts of every job are produced using AI tools, and a person reviews every piece before it reaches you. AI tools can produce content that resembles other existing content. We take reasonable care to avoid this, and we do not knowingly copy other people's work.
7. Who owns the work
- You own the final deliverables once you have paid for them in full. You can use, change and publish them for any lawful purpose.
- Work in progress remains ours until it is delivered to you.
- Your materials stay yours. You give us a licence to use them only to do your jobs.
- Our tools stay ours: our templates, workflows, checklists, prompts and know-how. You do not get rights to them, but nothing stops you from using your deliverables.
- Fonts, music or stock media we include are licensed for the use stated on the brief. If you want to use a deliverable in a way the brief does not cover (for example paid advertising), ask us first.
- We will not use your deliverables or materials to promote AITaskBox, or show them to other customers, without your separate consent.
- De-identified information. You agree that we may create de-identified information from your requests, quotes and deliverables, by removing names, contact details, street addresses and business names, and use it to understand demand, improve our service and quotes, and build reusable templates. De-identified information does not identify you or your business.
8. Fixes and refunds
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract and receive a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
On top of those rights, our own promises are:
- Full refund if we can't deliver: if we cannot deliver what your accepted quote describes, we refund that job in full.
- Two rounds of changes per job.
- On time: if we miss the delivery date on your accepted quote by more than 2 business days for reasons that are ours, you can cancel that job and we will refund anything you have paid for it.
- Mistakes: if the final version contains an error against the facts you gave us or the accepted quote, we fix it free of charge.
To ask for a fix or refund, message us with your order details. Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition, that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
Subject to that:
- where the law allows us to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again;
- we are not liable for loss caused by information or materials you gave us that were inaccurate, or by your decision to publish without reviewing the final version;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profits) except where the law says we must be.
10. Confidentiality and privacy
We keep your business information confidential. We use it to do your jobs and, in de-identified form only, as described in section 7. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
11. Pausing or ending
You can stop using our service at any time. We may decline a new order, or stop working with you, if you break these terms in a serious way, ask for unlawful content, or do not pay. If we end a monthly plan for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of the current period.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Changes apply to orders confirmed after we publish them. For monthly plans, we will give you at least 30 days' notice of a change that affects you, and you can cancel before it applies.
13. Disputes and governing law
If something goes wrong, message us first and we will try to resolve it within 14 days. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction. This does not limit your right to contact NSW Fair Trading or another consumer regulator.
